Steve keeps thinking Cesare is trying to bite his face and eat him and Steve is indestructible so every time it happens he just quickly ducks out of the way and is like "ehehehe, you'll never get me alive!" but in reality Cesare has been trying and fundamentally failing at trying to kiss him for like,,,, the better part of a year.

I have a minor headcanon that clowns have different ways of showing affection than humans and Steve genuinely doesn't even know what a kiss is. He just thinks Cesare is trying to sneakily get close enough to bite a chunk out of his face as a bit because he's a zombie and its an instinct and he's just playing along with it, meanwhile Cesare is like why are you making a game out of this we've been dating for eleven months please let me kiss you 😭

Oooh, that's a great question! And your example is solid. Wouldn't blame Neji thumbing his nose at the Eight Legged Freaks after his ordeal.

Hmm...I might need some liquid inspiration to answer this...

...argh, what's so annoying is that I tend to discover my hc's as I write the characters - does that make sense? It's really bizarre. You'd think that I'd have a tonne of head cannons just filed away, but what tends to happen is they drop into my headspace as I'm writing, rather than me actively thinking about them...I think maybe because 98% of my brain is engaged in plot most of the time (given how long BtB is), the character aspect (my favourite part, oddly enough) churns out based purely on organic in-the-moment writing and inspiration/instinct...which is probably why I love it so much, it's more intuitive than intellectual and way more fun.

Sorry, that in no way answers your question...

And yet, undoubtedly, I'm going to discover those head canons as I write. Some random examples below (some which obviously have significance), most of which have been disclosed already and discovered whilst writing, but give some good cases of BtB-verse HCs...if some could be called that?

how gift giving is one of Ino's biggest love languages

how Hiashi prefers Go to Shogi

how Raidō is a stickler for rules and enjoys sudoku

how Shikaku got his scars (Shuken)

how Kiba is ridiculously loyal once romantically attached despite his flirtatious and rascal-like behaviour

how Kakashi treasures his Team 7 mug decorated by his students before Sasuke defected

how Kakashi suffered from migraines due to the Sharingan

how Ino's old eating disorder issues were related to a critical and image-obsessed mother, and to Sakura rejecting her friendship as a kid because of Sasuke (leading Ino to believe she was always going to be in competition with other women and that female friendships are fragile)

how Sakura hates how much she loves Sasuke

Chōji allowing Ino to decorate him like a Christmas tree whenever she drags him into shopping sprees (she feeds him for it, which is a win-win)

Shikamaru requiring Chōji to do the thinking and the legwork when it comes to purchasing gifts for Ino

Asuma's cigarette brand is hard to get hold of

Genma is a whole head canon in himself - Halloween is important to him and not just because of pumpkin soup

Genma's issues with care homes - hints of his past as a kid

The significance to Neji of the words "every time" when he speaks them to Shikamaru

The importance of the words "I hear you" between Shikamaru and Asuma, and generally when Shikamaru says this, regardless of who he's speaking to

Neji's blind spot being an erogenous zone

Shikamaru being an utter sucker for head massages

Shikamaru loving Niji's coffee (second to none)

Genma being attracted to Kurenai (much to his supreme annoyance)

Inoichi having a wicked sweet-tooth, leading to him sneaking off to indulge in various confectionary (usually at the Akimichi household) so his wife didn't lose her shit (which led to her believing he might be having affairs)

Yoshino being incredibly sensitive to Shikamaru's security whilst in the home - the only control she feels she has over his safety given his life as a shinobi

Orochimaru's severely messed up behaviour with Sasuke and the oddness of his rules surrounding it (not sure you'd call this a head canon, as it's not something I enjoy entertaining - not that all head canon's are fun)

Kakashi somatising his emotions and his body carrying most of his pain

Kakashi preferring to live in a complex with older veteran shinobi rather than his peers (quieter, less intrusive)

Shiba (Kakashi's ninken) suffering bouts of claustrophobia

Ino, Inoichi, and Naoki's habit of cracking their thumbs

Ibiki's arthritis in his hands (worse now due to chakra sickness)

Kiba's nostalgic love/hate for silky thread grass

Shikaku's involvement with the Hyūga during his youth

Inoichi being a pretty-boy when younger and having to infiltrate a geisha house (where he met Sayuri, his wife)

Shikamaru harbouring mild paranoia of losing anything Ino buys him (the risk of ballistic head injury is very real)

The playful battle of Ino keeping a mental score of "you owe me" vs Shikamaru keeping a mental score of "I'll remember this"

Tenten messing with Neji by adding spice to his food

Argh, there are loads more; but those are the ones that just randomly came to mind whilst trying to kick my marbles around. There will undoubtedly be more to come, especially with characters such as Naruto and Sasuke, but also Neji, Shikakmaru and the rest.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) I can't always predict what they'll be so I apologise for not being able to reciprocate properly, Anon! But thank you for this ASK, it was fun to recall these. 💜🫶🏼💜

Trans Wendy!

I was doing research on Bob the Builder's origins and I found out that Wendy was originally going to be a male character called Lenny (that name would then be used for an unrelated character in the series)

so then they decided to make her a female, with the stereotypes going on at the time she was originally going to be a ditzy secretary type but eventually became the cool hard worker that we know today

I think this is iconic, because this was like a big change for kids tv, with characters like Wendy and Penny from Fireman Sam, girls who watched those shows were able to see women working in those professions and see them be treated normally, and not as stereotypes

How uniquely good is the expression work and animation in @worthikids (Ian Worthington's) Bigtop Burger??

So good that I have spent many hours combing through every single frame of animation in this series so far while taking well over 1,000 screenshots so that I can use them as reference for art practice.

Highly recommend for anyone who has like 20 minutes to watch everything that's out so far. So many of the quotes from this just live in my brain now

But I'm not done talking about the animation - I mean, it is absolute next-level delightful shit right down to the cinematography and it is so wild that most of the work on this is done by one guy.

All the characters have great expressions, but ffs every second that Cesare is onscreen, Ian Worthington has animated Chris Fleming's voice-acting and improv SO GOOD that I basically had to watch every single one of those lines on 1/4 speed over and over to make sure I didn't miss anything.

A/n: anon, Tumblr failed me and didn't notify me abt this ask 😭 I legit found out about it yesterday and was so shocked... I have never written headcanons before, even though it's so common on Tumblr, so this is my attempt. I hope it's enjoyable for you!

General Headcanons

— He can be quite child-like when he's in a sleepy state. Like, he's more affectionate and touchy when he's sleepy and he gets easily pouty

— Has a slight sweet tooth and can't handle anything that tastes bitter, super sour or super spicy

— He used to be sleep in weird angles as a child but it was trained out of him so now he sleeps on his back– one step away from vampire-in-coffin style

— Journals everyday; he likes to write about the people he's getting close to and notes down minor information he learns about them, like their likes, dislikes, etc.

— He sees Soso like a weird, chaotic sister that he is responsible for when she gets out of hand; goes full big brother mode on her, lol

Relationship Headcanons

— He's such a serious person that I feel like his lover has to be a good combination of serious and relaxed: if you're not as serious about your life and duties, he wouldn't appreciate it as much... He would be attracted to you if you're someone who is a good, responsible student, or if you're on the opposite spectrum of being a delinquent maybe? In a opposites attract sort of way, I guess. But I think someone who takes their duties and ambitions seriously would be impressive to him!

— If you're equally as serious as him, that's just a recipe for disaster because someone needs to push him to take breaks and relax once in a while. You can totally lure him into taking a break by saying how you need one and his company would be appreciated (would definitely work if he has a soft spot for you)

— In a relationship though, I think he would be...

— Consent king !! Respect is such an important thing for Jun and he would be the most respectful lover when it comes to boundaries; if you want to take it slow, he most definitely would go at your pace

— Oblivious asf too. Doesn't realise when he looks really cool or sexy and so is unaware of the effect he has on you specifically... Like, he knows that others respect and admire him (since he's the president) at a surface level but he doesn't know how they actually feel, ykwim?

— SO awkward at first because he doesn't know how to act around you and it's his first relationship so he's a little afraid of messing it up by mistake (that's actually half the reason why he would go at your pace; it gives him a better idea of what to do)

— Once the relationship is serious, though... You're DONE for. You know how he overwhelms his opponents with his sword technique? That's gonna be him in a relationship;; prepare to be flustered all the time because he's a lover that goes above and beyond (made worse by the fact that he's oblivious to the consequences of his actions like, at least half the time)

— He's a walking green flag tbh; he wouldn't hesitate to apologise if he does something wrong or hurts your feelings

— Would be a little stiff at first because he's not used to talking about his feelings but if you patiently encourage him, y'all would be communication goals fr

— Notices and remembers the tiniest details about you; he's very perceptive, especially about things that have his interest, so if you just mentioned in passing that you like something or have a particular hobby or interest? he's noting it down and you're getting it the next time he buys you a gift

— His love language in giving is quality time and acts of service

— His love language is receiving (from you) is words of affirmation and quality time

→ Slightly Mature HCs/NSFW:

— Jun is so calm and dignified all the time that I can't help but think that in bed, where he trusts you enough to expose himself, he would be okay letting out his suppressed aggression

— Not in a mean way!! He would just manhandle you easily (he's so strong, oof) and he's just, the hungry type. makes you feel like you're going to be devoured or consumed (10/10 I would let him)

— Actually a virgin tho, so the first time would be crazy gentle and he's kinda internally freaking out about hurting you accidentally; it's very cute

— Overwhelms you with his "sword technique" after he learns what makes you feel good and where

— He would be a devoted lover; if you have any insecurities, he's not going to let them exist for longer. would be all gentle aggression as he showers his love especially on the parts that you dislike about yourself

— Secretly loves it when you praise him or when you are visibly admiring his body that he has carefully trained; he will get embarrassed if you catch on though, because it feels very vain (not that you would mind appreciating the finer features of his body and personality)

— Aftercare king !! also, he's the one demanding cuddles afterwards because there's something about holding you in his arms after such an intimate moment; it's the most peaceful and comforting place for him
